Under which license is the hardware of pib released?
The hardware, 3D-printable CAD files, and software of pib are released under the open-source GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPL-3.0).
What this means for you:
- Free to Build & Modify: You can freely download, 3D print, adapt, and customize pib for personal, educational, or commercial projects.
- Copyleft (Share Alike): If you modify and share pib’s designs, your derivative work and improvements must also remain open-source and free under the same AGPL-3.0 license.
- Where to access: All official CAD files are available on Onshape, and print-ready STLs can be downloaded directly from our GitHub Repository.
