Where can I find the BOM (Bill of Materials) for non-printable hardware parts in Onshape?
The complete Bill of Materials (BOM) listing all screws, bearings, threaded inserts, motors, and electronic components is integrated directly into the public Onshape CAD workspace.
How to access the BOM in Onshape:
- Open the official pib CAD project in Onshape (linked on pib.rocks/build).
- Select any Assembly tab at the bottom (e.g., Head Assembly, Arm Assembly, or the Complete pib Assembly).
- Click the BOM table icon on the far right vertical panel (the small table/sheet icon).
- The panel will expand, displaying the exact part names, quantities, and hardware specifications for that module. You can also export this list as a CSV or Excel sheet.
Convenient Alternative:
If you prefer not to source dozens of individual electronic components, screws, and motors from multiple suppliers, we offer complete, pre-sorted hardware packages in our shop: the pib.Makerbox (for private builders) and the pib.Edubox (for schools and educational institutions).
